Birthdays For The Last Two Weeks
Father's/ Special Person's Day
A big thank you to all of the dads, carers, grandparents and special people who joined us for our Father’s & Special Person’s Day Breakfast. It was wonderful to see so many families sharing a meal together and celebrating the important role you play in our students’ lives.
We would also like to thank everyone who took the time to complete our Parent/Carer Opinion Survey during the morning. Your feedback is greatly valued and helps us continue to improve our school for every child and family.
Academic Games
Yesterday, our school proudly competed and hosted the 'Academic Games' alongside Orrvale Primary School, Grahamvale Primary School, St Georges Road Primary School, Kialla Central Primary School and Bourchier Street Primary School.
Our team of eight – Zainab, Julie, Ruby, Alice, Chase, Will, Vivaan and Aaron – showed outstanding teamwork, creativity and determination across a range of challenges.
The day was broken into different round, there was a debate, which our students prepared for ahead of time and presented on the day to a panel of judges from Greater Shepparton Secondary College. Another event was a STEAM challenge, where teams were tasked with building a bridge strong enough to hold as much weight as possible – an engineer even came in to test their designs. There was also a spelling task, where students worked together to tackle tricky words under pressure.
A real highlight of the day was the final round, where students first had to solve a series of puzzles before building a fire strong enough to burn through a rope. This exciting and unique challenge had everyone engaged and cheering the teams on.
Although we didn’t claim first place, our school finished a very impressive second overall. Most importantly, our students had a great time, represented our school with pride, and should feel very proud of their efforts.
