INTERSCHOOL ATHLETICS

On Tuesday the 4th of October our grade 6 students were fortunate enough to go to McEwen Reserve and compete at the Interschool athletics. Students from across Shepparton and Mooroopna competed in a variety of track and field events. All students represented our school with pride competing in all events to the best of their ability and showing great sportsmanship throughout the day. Congratulations to all the students who competed on the day. Unfortunately, due to the weather the Grade 5’s, 4’s and 3’s had their days washed out.

SOCCER

On Thursday the 6th of October we had some coaches from Football Australia to promote the under 17s AFC Cup Qualifiers which are happening here in Shepparton. The coaches worked with the Grade 5/6 and Grade 1/2 students focusing on the ball handling skills and passing abilities. The students enjoyed showing off their skills in the matches at the end. Australia still has two under 17s AFC Cup Qualifier matches left which are free to attend at Shepparton Sports City Precinct. Tonight, Australia v Cambodia at 7:30pm and on Sunday at 3pm Australia v China which is shaping up the be the match of the qualifiers.
