'My Dreaming, My Future'

Next Thursday 4th August is National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day. Children’s Day is a time Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities and all Australians, celebrate the strengths and culture of our children. This year's theme is 'My Dreaming, My Future'. On Thursday our Prep to Grade 2 students will travel to Rumbalara Mooroopna to participate in activities celebrating the day. Thanks so much to our amazing Koorie Family Liason Officer Leanne Sangster for organising this for us. Students will need to take a water bottle and a snack. Lunch will be provided.

Student Learning on Compass

Over the next little while, we will be working to add your child's learning results to their Compass profile. This means that you will be able to see your child's report (you can currently see this), their reading level and progress across the year and you will be able to access their learning goals here also. If you have not downloaded the app and logged in now would be a great time to do this so you can access these important pieces of information. In case you haven't already you can also see and update your child's attendance (saves a phone call to school OR from us to follow this up), see upcoming excursions or school events and get notifications quickly from the school. If you need your COMPASS login details please email- eron.chapman@education.vic.gov.au and we will send them to you.

Morning Fitness

We have had a pretty good response to our morning fitness program. We have started a leader board and as you can see GREEN HOUSE are WAY out in front. You can click on the leaderbaord to see it updated each day this coming week. It would be great to see a few more house colours give Green a run for their money! There is delicious brekky club brekky after kids have run a few laps.

Cricket Clininc with Melbourne Renegades

On Monday our 1-2s were lucky enough to have a clinic with a few Melbourne Renegades players, helped out by some SEDA students. You will see some great action in our photos below. This was another great opportunity provided by the Positive Start Initiative.
